Artist info:
Our family now resides in the beautiful
pacific northwest.
I first started doing
papier mache clay pieces back in 1997. I first gave away most of my work
to family and friends. Encouraged by their words I continued on and
expanded to selling my work on online. Selling my art on the net enabled
me to gather up a wonderful set of new friends and Pumpkinseed fans. You
can find my authentic original art work here on my web site, at the
Folkworks Gallery in Evanston Illinois, Reasons To Believe Santa art gallery
in Kirkland Washington, Ebay under Pumpkinseedsoriginals, Etsy.com (pumpkinseedsfolkart seller name) and the OldFashionHalloween.com
website.
About my originals: My work comes with years of experience and tedious attention to detail. No pieces ever leave my studio without me knowing in my heart it was the absolute best I could have accomplished. My paintings are all original and arrive to your home signed and dated. Again, I use artist grade acrylics, sealed with a top quality varnish. Giftware by Enesco :In giftware stores starting Fall 2007 you will find the new Janell Berryman Pumpkinseeds Folk Art reproduction line by Enesco. These high quality figures are reproductions made from the originals. Enesco's quality and detail are exceptional
and they offer the same standards of excellence as I. I am pleased to not only offer my originals on this site but also have gift shops carry a more affordable reproduction line though Enesco. Enesco's showroom in Atlanta at the Giftware show 2008 What is the difference between the originals vs reproductions: Occasionally I receive emails wanting to know what the difference is between the my original papier mache creations verses the reproduction pieces you find in stores. My originals are just that... original. These come directly from the artists hands. As stated above all originals are made by me from start to finish and are made from a papier mache clay composition. The reproductions come from Enesco Giftware Company. These collectibles are produced in numbers, sold to retail stores and are made from a quality resin stone base. To place an order retailers can either call Enesco or order a catalog via Enesco's website. Styles: I try and create lots of different styles that will appeal to many collectors. In my line you can find lots of tall skinny creepy pieces, shorter more artistic creations and a few off wall goodies that do not relate to holiday themes at all. Given this, my all time favorite is Halloween. The skinny Halloween Pumpkinseeds "Spindle" legs styles are extremely popular and very sought after. So always keep an eye out for those! Art work copyright: Janell M. Berryman retains all ownership rights, including copyright, of all original paintings and the papier mache artwork, including custom commissioned works. None of Janell's artwork may be reproduced in any form, by any means, electronic, mechanical or otherwise, without her knowledge, permission and express written consent. The sale of an original art piece does not include the transfer and sale of ownership of the rights to reproduce or use the image in any other way beyond personal display. The artist still retains all rights and copyrights to all of the images and writing. Permission to use them for any other purpose must be directed to the artist, creator of the work of art.
